I am a doctoral candidate in Marketing, at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University. I study quantitative marketing, with particular focus on the Motion Picture Industry. My dissertation committee members are Vrinda Kadiyali (chair - Marketing), Sachin Gupta (Marketing), Jeffrey Prince (Applied Economics and Management) and Nicholas Kiefer (Economics and Statistics). My thesis consists of three essays. Essay 1 (currently being revised for second round review at Journal of Marketing Research) develops a forecasting model for weekly revenue of a particular movie in multiple distribution channels. Essay 2 (job market paper) studies the evolution of DVD release date and price announcements. Essay 3 describes a model
for the managing the format transition from VHS to DVD. I am currently on the academic job market for a tenure track faculty position in Marketing.
